Dottie, a stray from Oceana WV made her way to Almost Home Foster MN License #132328 in Minnesota last weekend. We were originally on intake hold, medical restrictions and requirements had been placed, however, when we received the call from Michael, a gentleman located in Minnesota’s metro area, who stated that he was looking for a furbaby and was looking for a middle-aged, female Beagle, and did we have one?, well, we dotted our i’s and crossed our t’s and moved Dottie from her foster in WV to AHFK and one to her new furever home and family in short order.
Michael had just recently lost his Beagle to cancer. “She was my whole world. I got her as a puppy after the death of my wife. I feel lost.”
Dottie is sporting a huge backyard, securely fenced…and I mean HUGE. Here at AHFK we have a 5000 sq. foot fenced yard and this put ours to shame. Her furever retired dad couldn’t have been happier with her. He was already doting on her and making sure that she was comfortable and happy with her new home and family.
Dottie, you hit pay dirt baby-girl. Your every need and want will be taken care of.
Thank you Michael for seeking us out, for giving Dottie her well-deserved chance at home and family. Thank you for opening your heart and home to this girl. We are furever grateful.
