Marcus Finds the Perfect Home and Family…and a Fur-Brother to Boot!

Marcus, a 15-week-old King Cavalier Spaniel/Toy Poodle mix was welcomed into Almost Home Foster & Rescue.  Marcus, one of four of the breeder-releases that was surrendered to rescue.  Marcus, too young to alter, was eligible for our Foster to Adopt Program.  The adopting family assumes all the luxury of adoption, but the final “paperwork” cannot be completed until he is neutered, an expense that is the responsibility of the rescue, when he is old enough for the procedure.  Veterinarian protocol is no less than 6 months, or until he stops growing.

Marcus, like Nellie, was with us for just one week.  We had just 6 days to update his vetting, cuddle and love on him, before we found his perfect family.  Rob and Jessica have a Mini-Goldendoodle, Herman, so they are very familiar with the breed and the care that is required.  Herman was more than ready to check out Marcus’ adoption tote.

Rob and Jessica first contacted AHFK after they met Tiny Tim, another AHFK Cavapoo pup that was adopted by Brian and Andrea.  They immediately filled out an application, setting themselves up for pre-approval.  They didn’t have to wait long and as soon as Marcus was surrendered to us, we contacted the family.

Herman, their resident dog is bonded to Jessica…that is his main human in the household.  At times, yeah…Rob felt a little left out and was hoping this new addition to the family could share some love with him.  Rob got everything he wished for and more.  And Marcus, well he was more than happy just to remain in Rob’s arms.

Rob and Jessica, our hearts are full.  Thank you for giving this little guy the home and family that he deserves.  Thank you for opening your heart and home to him.  We are furever grateful.
