Jail Break in Marion County KY Lands Oliver a Furever Home in NY

Katie McGill, of Tapestry Farm Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. and respected Rescue Sistah, reached out to Almost Home Foster MN License 132328.  2-Year-old Oliver was incarcerated in Marion County Animal Shelter in Lebanon KY.

“Katie, we need a foster until July 1st.”

“I can foster until July 1st,” was Katie’s response.

Katie enlisted the help of Rick Tabb who made the trip to the shelter and busted Oliver, and a Senior Chi out, escorting them to his getaway car.  Yep, Oliver was gett’n away, away from the shelter, away from the neglect and life and environment of his previous dwelling, away from being expected to hunt, or breed, or whatever else he was being used for.  He was gett’n away and starting over.  He was only going to know the good life from here on in.

Transport was being arranged to initiate Oliver’s journey to Minnesota, to Almost Home Foster Kennels.  Then Katie contacted us again, “I have an adopter for Oliver!”

Erin, a Cert Vet Tech residing in Paris KY for the Summer, fell in love with Oliver.  The application was submitted, the processing of the application took place and Oliver, well Oliver had the last say so…and a picture is worth a 1000 words.  Oliver has a new home, a family, and life of love, snuggles, hugs, and joy.

Thank you, Erin, for opening your heart and home to this boy.  Thank you for giving him a chance.  Thank you for giving him everything that he deserves.

Heart Hugs from AHFK.
