Bruno, an 8-week Beagle/Hound mix pup, together with his petite, Momma Marley, and his sister Lizabeth, was surrendered to the Scioto County Animal Shelter in Portsmouth OH. Patti Richardson, without a plan, pulled this family of three, upon intake, to ensure that the babies remain safe from illnesses associated with animal shelters. She took the family home and then contacted Almost Home Foster Kennels, asking if we had room, and if we didn’t, she and Rick would foster until we did.
This incredible family of three arrived at AHFK the end of May. They received their final vaccinations and were posted as eligible for adoption. All three received applications immediately. Lizabeth joined her furever family mid-June, Momma will be joining her family this coming weekend, and Bruno had a couple of awesome families that were ready to commit, but he hit the motherlode when James’ application came through. And last weekend Bruno continued his journey North.
Bruno’s life is filled with an extended family, from Grandpa James down to the little 4-year-old; all ready to give this boy the best life ever. A large 4.5-acre yard, bordering a wooded area will keep his nose to the ground and his instincts sharp. He also has an older, motherly fur-sister to help him acclimate to his new surroundings and family.
Thank you, James, for giving Bruno your hearts, your home, and a family to call his own.
