Bumper, was witnessed to be wandering around the city of Oxford in Granville County North Carolina for nearly a month. He wasn’t alone, as he was secured and taken to the Granville County Animal Shelter along with, what appeared to be, his two siblings; a sister and a brother. Released, dumped, abandoned, call it what you will, the three of them were left to forage and fend for themselves. At just a year of age, their lives were in constant jeopardy as they roamed the NC streets.
Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN saw the initial posting for Bumper, and with the help of area residents, TC Michelle Zdybicki, and transporter Michael Gray, we were able to get Bumper to our Foster Momma Donna Williams in Merry Hill, NC We eventually pulled and transported the two siblings as well.
Bumper. along with his brother Kalvin, made the trip to Minnesota the first weekend in May. We were able to complete their vetting and post them as available for adoption.
Trudi and Thomas are long-time Rescue Beagle Pet Parents. Their current kids, Zoe and Watson were adopted from rescues, as well as their past Beagle fur-kids. They understand the breed and love the breed. So we were super excited to schedule their meet and greet.
A Beagle’s dream come true…a haven that most dogs only dream of and yet so few experience. Huge, now HUGE, securely fenced in backyard that butts up next to a walking trail park. Mom and dad are retired, spending quality time with their fur-kids. They love the outdoors and have a huge garden, allowing them outside with their kids. This is exactly the life, the family, the home, the lifestyle that Bumper, now known as Wyatt, needed.
Trudi and Thomas, we are furever grateful that you opened your hearts and home to yet another Beagle in need. Thank you for giving Wyatt the love and life that he so richly deserves.
