Kirby was the first of three Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle Mix, aka Golden Doodle, puppies that were released to Almost Home Foster Kennels.  At 13 weeks, they are a pile of fluff and fur and…fun.  They are all at a stage where “everybody and every dog likes me, and oh, we should play.”   Kirby drew

Almost Home Foster MN License #132328 recently agreed to help find great homes and families for a local breeder who lost a family member and who now had to turn her home into a hospice for an aging parent. We agreed to take on, at this time, 20 dogs that were being release from breeding.

Ellie, Nora, and Bubba, three English Bulldogs made their way to Almost Home Foster & Rescue when they were retired from breeding.  All three received inquiries and applications.  All three found their furever homes and families in short order. Nora, the smallest of the three, also had the least amount of confidence of the three.

Nora, along with 4 of her siblings and her momma were discovered in Mount Sterling KY, located in Montgomery County.  They were abandoned and left to fend for themselves.  They didn’t stand a chance.  They would never survive a Kentucky-based animal shelter; Beagles were a dime-a-dozen.  Parvo and other diseases are a constant threat to
