Kody is believed to be a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix. He is 9 years of age, but don’t let that fool you, he is as active and spry as a puppy and looking forward to family adventures and events.
Kody was surrendered to rescue when his owners were no longer able to care for him. He was diagnosed with pruritus and had to have his right, rear leg amputated. He has made an incredible recovery and loves his daily walks.
Kody kennels well, loves car rides, and highly excitable at dinner time. He loves human snuggles and his human lap time.
Kody is experiencing some anxiousness and anxiety since loosing his pet parents. He was with them ’round the clock’ and went where they went. Therefore, we are looking for a stay at home pet parent, or a retired couple to share in Kody’s senior years.
Kody has not been child-tested; slow introductions to children is suggested. We are suggesting no infants or toddlers at this time.
Kody does well with cats and lives with other dogs.

Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
