Iris was released to Almost Home Foster & Rescue from a local breeder. Iris is what we call “a Velcro-dog.” When she trusts her human, she sticks to her human. Although a breeder-release, Iris was well socialized with humans and other dogs. She loves to cuddle. She loves attention, and she needed constant reassurance, patience and love. Iris was going to need someone who had time to devote to her. Iris needed a stay-at-home, or work from home momma. And we found her.
We had received multiple applications for Iris, and we even placed with a family for a short time, however, the environment proved to be to stimulating for her and her nervousness and quick actions proved to be difficult for the family. But when Tina’s application came through, and all the boxes were checked for Iris to thrive, we scheduled a meet and greet.
Iris did not come back to rescue that day…she stayed, settling in her furever home and with her furever family.
Thank you, Tina, for opening your heart and home to Iris. Thank you for giving her the family that she deserves.
