This Little Treasurer Bearer Proves to be the Ultimate Gift for this Furever Family

Casper, both as a given name and as a pet name, generally means “treasurer” or “treasurer bearer.”  Derived from Gaspar, said to have been one of the three Magi who paid homage to the infant Jesus, bearing the gift of frankincense.

We associate the color white with Casper, as in the Friendly Ghost, a character featured in 55 theatrical cartoons beginning in 1945.

Our little Casper, a 5-month-old Cocker Spaniel/Bichon mix was released by an area breeder.  Casper, a quiet, loving, cuddler who is white in color would truly be considered a gift by any family that adopted him.  And it didn’t take long for the applications to come in.  Since Casper is too young to neuter at this age, he was adopted under the Foster to Adopt Program.  Once he completes his vetting, all ownership can be transferred.

Lindsay was the first to reach out and apply for Casper.  Although we adopt our babies to the best home and environment, not first come first serve, Lindsay had all the boxes checked to proceed with the adoption.  Familiar with the breed, fenced areas for safety and security, excellent references and impeccable care provided, and a work from home family, (plus Casper gets to go into the office when “homework” isn’t accessible.)

Casper made the journey North this past weekend and settled into his comfortable home with his new furever family.  Mom had spent a good portion of the day shopping for Casper and once we arrived, Grandma took over, cuddling and holding and sharing with other family members.  This little boy will receive lots of love, lots of cuddles, and all the attention he could ever need or want.

Thank you, Lindsay, for giving this boy the ideal home and family environment.  Thank you for opening your heart and home to this little boy.  Your attentiveness, love and compassion are second to none.
