Kimmie is a breeder-release. She is a Maltipoo; a Maltese/Toy Poodle mix, and she had a personality that was hard not to love. She loved humans, other dogs, was okay with cats, and just, well, perfect! Once she was completely vetted, we were sure that her stay at Almost Home Foster & Rescue would be minimal…and it was.
Kimmie had multiple applications and we had a meet and greet with a family, but when weather conditions struck and the road conditions of the metro area of Minnesota resulted in 239 accidents in a day with one fatality, we opted to reschedule for the next day. The family didn’t want to wait and adopted another dog that day…their loss, but it proved to be Delaney’s win…as well as, Kimmie’s.
The following weekend we made the trek 1.5 hours to the North where Kimmie made her way into the hearts of her new Momma Delaney and her fur-sister Neige. As social as Kimmie, now known as Maya, is, she had no trouble finding her spot with this family.
