Theo Discovers that the Purpose in Life is to Live It

Day 3, September 15th, of our Rescue Weekend proved to outdo the previous two days in miles, hours behind the windshield, and total hours away from home.  We logged over 651 miles for the day, sat behind the windshield for 11 ½ hours and were away from home 12.5 hours.  For the three days, we drove over 1414 miles, stared at the windshield for nearly 24 ½ hours, and were away from home a total of 29 hours.  The dogs and I saw a lot of open road, some of Minnesota’s Natural Forests, lakes and Scenic Byways, and we placed in furever homes a total of 6 dogs and had two rescue to rescue transfers.

Theo, an owner/surrender started our Day 3 excursion.  Theo’s meet and greet took us North a mere 100 miles, which is where he met Michael.  Michael, another rescue dog Pet Parent had recently lost his furbaby and was now ready…his heart and home were aching for another.  Theo, a beautiful, one-year-old, Tricolored, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was looking for an active home and family.  Michael was just the family that Theo needed.  He would be the center of Michael’s attention and experience all that life could offer.

Michael, an early retiree, and an active walker and hiker, loved adventure and nature.  Theo would have the opportunity to share these adventures with Michael.  Heck, his new back yard, securely fenced, was a dog sniffer’s dream.  Scaring up bunnies and squirrels would be easy…well, that is if they didn’t startle Theo first.

We look forward to the Theo’s adventures, travels and pupdates.

Michael, we are furever grateful to you.  Thank you for opening your heart and home to Theo.  Thank you for giving him the opportunity to explore life with you.  Thank you for being his family.
