Lilly, one of the final four to make it to rescue as a breeder-release, found her furever home and family on Friday. Lilly, a white, nearly 8# Toy Poodle enjoyed a full spa treatment, courtesy of Amanda Weigel, owner/operator of The Pet Authority in Albert Lea, finalized her vetting, including a complete dental with Doctor Daniel Smith of Albert Lea Veterinary Clinic in Albert Lea MN and was now ready and available for adoption.
It was long after the posting when up and the applications arrived. One in particular stood out and proved to be the home and family that Lilly deserved and could thrive in. Her family, Momma Amy, provided a picturesque fenced yard with an immense area of running room. Her new family also came complete with a fur-sibling Doodle and a human sister that also provided daycare when momma was at work. Lilly truly had the complete family/home bundle.
The meet and greet couldn’t have gone any better. Soft voices of praise, cuddles and hugs, and a fur-sister that couldn’t wait to show her the ropes and the antics of her new home. This was truly the home Lilly deserved. And, less than 24 hours into the 2 week sleepover, Momma Amy wanted to finalize the adoption. They were already in love with this little girl and couldn’t imagine life without her.
Thank you Momma Amy and Human-Sister Logan, and Fur-sister Zuzu for opening your hearts and homes to Lilly. Thank you for providing the home environment that she so richly deserves and will allow her to thrive. We are furever grateful.
