It is stated that, “The eyes are the window to the soul.” A person’s eyes can reveal their true feelings, emotions, and inner character, allowing others to perceive their state of mind simply by looking at them, their eyes act as a visible representation of their deeper self.
Since eye contact is a significant part of non-verbal communication, it is often believed that the eyes can convey emotions even when words cannot. Since we consider our furbabies voiceless, it is the eyes of our four-legged furbabies that convey their message, that can tell their story.
Blondie was found as a stray in the Holdenville OK area. Postings were sent out and social media was plastered with her photo…looking for her owner to reclaim her. No one came. Foster Momma Felicia Stilley did, however. Once Blondie’s 5-day stray hold was up she was released to Felicia and Almost Home Foster & Rescue and made the trip to Minnesota in early December. She completed her vetting, and we struggled with ridding her of the huge infestation of tapeworms that this little 8# body was harboring. But, once she received a clean bill of health, Blondie, nka Abbey Jean, claimed her human. Her eyes spoke volumes.
Thank you Dave, for opening your heart to another rescue pupper. Thank you for allowing Abbey Jean into your home and life.
