Abe, a petite, F1b CavaPoo puppy, was released by a local breeder. Abe, along with three other additional releases made their way to Almost Home Foster & Rescue. The initial social media posting brought a barrage of inquiries and as many adoption applications.
Kami and her husband, and their daughters recently lost their little Terrier. He had been part of the family for 14 years. Craig and the girls are currently out of the country, leaving Kami feeling the heartache of missing her four- & two-legged family members. She and Craig agreed that they would wait for him to return home before looking for a furbaby for the family. However, Kami’s need to hold one close, to have “family” near won out and Craig told her, “I think you need to find your puppy.”
Last Friday we made the trip to the home of Craig and Kami, and now that of Abe. He and Kami bonded immediately. He was comfortable being held, and I don’t think his feet are going to touch the ground any time soon. With Grandpa and Grandma right down the road, Abe will be surrounded by those that love and cherish him.
Thank you, Kami and Craig, for opening your hearts and home to Abe, for giving him the home and family that he deserves.
Heart Hugs!
