Almost Home Foster MN License #132328 has had the opportunity to assist an area breeder in reducing his numbers. We believe that all furbabies, regardless of age or of their beginning, are entitled to a happy and deserving furever home and family. Penny, along with her brother Petey, were released from a local breeder. Petey made his way to his furever home, to our neighbor Joyce. When her daughter and son-in-law met Petey and found out that there was a sibling, they contacted us immediately.
Today, Penny went home. Scott and Laurie picked Penny up and immediately “headed to mom’s” to visit with mom and reunite the fur-siblings. I have lived as neighbors with this family for nearly 17 years, but only recently discovered how extremely large their hearts are and how compassionate they are towards animals. There will be many opportunities for this family to come together and in so doing, Penny and Petey will enjoy their own Furbaby Reunion.
Scott and Laurie operate a Non-Profit Horseback Riding Ranch; The Ranch provides a safe, fun environment for individuals ages 8+ who are experiencing some life challenges. It is our hope to interrupt the effects/symptoms of these challenges by providing a safe place to process life’s challenges. Through taking care of their horse and the Ranch and learning to work with and ride their horse, our participants learn much about respecting themselves, others and the world around them.
Scott and Laurie, I could think of non-better, ‘cept your momma, to provide such a wonderful home and family for Penny. Thank you for opening yours hearts and home to this little girl. Thank you for becoming an AHFK family member.
