Moon Shadow: The full moon naturally illuminates that part of us drawn toward wonder, possibility and the inexpressible something that is deeper and richer than we might experience in daily life.
Spiritually, it means that you are in relationship to the glow of energy around you.
For Devir and Jenna, it means that Moon Shadow, a Mini-Bernese Mountain Dog, who was released from breeding, brought all of this euphoric energy, love, and inexpressible aura into their lives and their home. To say that Moon Shadow completed this family is an understatement. The joy and elation of finally meeting Shadow and bringing her into their home brought overwhelming joy, not only to Devir and Jenna, but to those of us at Almost Home Foster & Rescue. We knew that Shadow was home, she was right where she was meant to be.
The Bernese Mountain Dog is big, powerful, and built for hard work, and is also strikingly beautiful and blessed with a sweet, affectionate nature. Berners are generally placid but are always up for a romp with the owner, whom they live to please. Their gentle and affectionate nature, combined with their loyalty and protective instincts, often make them great companions.
Devir and Jenna made certain that we knew that not only was Moon Shadow now family, but those of us at AHFK were now considered family. My heart is full.
