Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Raleigh.
Raleigh was released from a local breeder. He is a Toy Poodle weighing 7.2#. He is 5 1/2 years of age. Raleigh is very social with both humans and dogs. He is indifferent to cats. Raleigh is a cuddler and would like nothing better than to have someone share their lap with him. He does well on a leash.
Raleigh is currently crated at night and keeps his area clean and dry.
Raleigh is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help him acclimate to his new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Raleigh to acclimate to the drastic changes in his life.
As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Raleigh is doing well with his training.
