Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Maddie has also received a recent dental cleaning.
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Maddie.
Maddie is three years of age. She is a toy Poodle weighing approximately 8 pounds. Maddie was surrendered to Almost Home Foster and Rescue when a local breeding facility decided to shut their doors.
Maddie is very well socialized, and gets along with other dogs, is indifferent to cats and loves humans of all ages. She actively seeks attention and cuddles from her humans.
Maddie is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Maddie acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Maddie to acclimate to the drastic changes in her life.
As a general rule, we state that none of our fosters are house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Maddie is doing really well at potty-training. She loves the outdoors and loves her leash walks.
