Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

Bella, along with 5 of her siblings, made their way to Almost Home Foster and Rescue in Minnesota when it was discovered that their momma, who was rehomed was pregnant. The new owner of Momma cared for momma, as well as the pups, and when fully weaned and initial vaccinations were given, set out to find a rescue to take them in. Bella, along with her siblings are just 6 months in age and ready to live with their furever families in their furever home.
Bella is a Chihuahua, Chihuahua/Terrier Mix. Momma was full Chihuahua and Poppa a Chi/Terrier Mix. Bella is currently 13#. They are all similar in color, some variation, but range in weight from 5.2# – 14.6#.
Bella is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Bella acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Bella to acclimate to the drastic changes in her life.
As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Bella does really well at keeping her nighttime crate clean and dry.
