“Tell me something good…Yeah!”
Lately, we can all use a good word, thought, gesture and today, Almost Home Foster & Rescue has some exciting news to share. Mabeline, our 10 year-old Beagle who originally came to us from South Dakota back in 2018, went home today…home to her furever family.
Mabeline was adopted shortly after arriving to AHFK. Five years later, her human poppa, her main caregiver, passed away and Mabeline was returned to rescue…as per our adoption contract. That was in December of 2023. Mabeline had interest and even had a short staycation with another family, however, she was too much energy for the little ones that would come and visit Grandma.
But, as the saying goes, “Good things come to those that wait.” And today, Mabeline’s wait was over as she was welcomed into her new home by her new humans, Ron and Joan. Mabeline was nose to the floor, exploring every inch, nook and cranny of her new home. She was comfortable, relaxed, and even jumped into the lap of her new poppa. Mabeline knew that she was home. This was her family.
So, in a time when we all need a little good news, Mabeline had the headlines.
