WE ARE IN NEED OF A RESCUE TO RESCUE TRANSFER:
Sam came to Almost Home Foster & Rescue by way of Oklahoma. He was surrendered to the local animal shelter, one in which there is only a three-day hold, then euthanasia takes place. Sam appears to be a Beagle/Blue Heeler Mix (No DNA has been conducted.) He is 28#. He is Tri-colored.
I do not know the background story of this boy, but he needs to be with knowledgeable individuals who are familiar with the Heeler traits of the breed. He has a lot of energy and needs training and a job. I work fulltime, in addition to the rescue, and I cannot do this little guy justice. He is assertive toward other dogs, he will attack (herd) within minutes of being put in a supervised yard with another. It doesn’t matter the gender of the other dog, he goes after them. He has an assertive growl when other dogs approach him. All of our fosters are crated for feeding time; however, he is aggressive to the dog next to him.
He is fully vetted; up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped. We need a rescue who can help this guy reach his full potential. Please DM if you are able to take Sam into your rescue.
