Incarcerated in an animal shelter in Oklahoma, a sure death sentence for many, Hobo found himself on the euthanasia list. Together with Tally, another fortunate furbaby lucky enough to meet AHFK Foster Momma Felicia, Hobo was also tagged for rescue, pulled, vetted and readied for transport North, to Minnesota and Almost Home Foster & Rescue.
Hobo, a spunky, Rat Terrier was quick to make one smile, even laugh out loud. His “tough guy” Terrier attitude melted away the minute his attitude was challenged. He loves life, he loves people, he loves time playing in the yard or just hanging with his humans. Hobo was/is the perfect family dog. But the time of year kept Hobo in foster care for over three months. Inquiries and applications were received, but never the right fit for Hobo.
And then, the perfect application arrived. The perfect home and family applied. Jennie, well versed with Rat Terriers, their traits and their antics, was ready to bring another furbaby into her home and heart, and she wanted Hobo.
Hobo fell in love with this human from the get-go. Her home provided an acreage setting, lots of land, a sliding glass patio door to a securely fenced deck, one perfect for sunning oneself, and a momma who would dote and pamper him for life. Jennie’s family visits every couple of weeks, and his fur-cousin comes along. He had the pleasure of time with his canine friends and family, and when they would leave, he had his momma all to himself. Life was grand!
Jennie, thank you for giving Hobo the life, the family, the love that he so richly deserves. Thank you for being his family.
