Our second set of Deer-Headed Chihuahua/Dachshund mix fur-kids to arrive at Almost Home Foster & Rescue were Molly Jr, Punkin, Rusty, and Walter. All needed vetting and to be altered. Molly Jr, a 7.9#, Chiweenie arrived, scared, timid, and in constant flight mode. It took soft voices, time, patience, and sometimes, just sitting and rocking to let her know that she was safe. We were in search of a family that had patience, soft voices, lots of love, and time to contribute to her, and one who understood the traits of an unsocialized furbaby, what they needed and the immense amount of patience required.
Adam and Sandra were the perfect family. They had been there before, with their previous Chi mix; Phoebe, and their Rat Terrier Rascal. Undersocialized, scared, timid, and in flight mode, they helped these little ones transition into family members. They were up for the challenge of helping Molly join the family, to become a member. So, last evening, Molly joined this amazing family and began the next chapter in her journey to a second chance.
Thank you Adam and Sandra for opening your hearts and home to another furbaby in need. Thank you for giving Molly the family that she deserves and will progress and thrive with. We are furever grateful. Heart Hugs!
