The region where AHFK is located is in a rural area of SE Minnesota. The community is mainly elderly or retired couples, those who are looking for a smaller furbaby and companion who can travel with them, snuggle with them, and be a comfort to them. The Chihuahua breed is an easier breed to place in our community.
Adele, thought to be a Chiweenie by the two Veterinarians that vetted her, could do both those breeds proud. She carried herself well, with just a touch of snarkiness and royalty…. P & V in other words.
David and Anita are Doxi people. They also foster for an area rescue and have laid claim to the title of “Foster Failures.” One of their personal references came from Theresa of 55021 Rescue. “Absolutely the best…this family goes above and beyond with their furbabies, with all furbabies. You will not find a more qualified family for this girl.” And they have proven Theresa right in every way.
I checked up on Adele a few days after she began her two-week sleepover.
“She has been doing great. Easy to walk, no accidents in the house, settling in nicely. She actually went camping with us. We were so worried about doing that. She did so good she has had a few corrections for picking on Benny now that she is home that has decreased. Thank you for choosing us as we adore her.”
David and Anita, thank you for giving this girl the family that she deserves. Thank you for opening your hearts and home to her. We are truly grateful.
