Destined for Euthanasia, Jackson Skirted Death and Found His Furever Home and Family in God’s Country…It took a Village!

Jackson was at risk of being euthanized. At 8 years of age, and blind, Jackson became confused and upset Christmas morning when a group of small children infiltrated his home and disrupted his day. He became nippy and the owners decided to have him euthanized.
We received a call from Amanda, owner/operator of The pet Authority in Albert Lea, “Could we help?”
I told her I had someone in mind, give me a few moments.
The call was made to Margaret Lubke, Shih Tzu extraordinar. I explained Jackson’s plight.
“Bring him up. I have 4 at my house, I can help find him a home if I am unable to keep him.”
Margaret originally worked with the Houston Shih Tzu rescue, has help Rusty Miller coordinate transports with Liberty Ride Transport, and has helped Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN with a number of intakes.
Today, Jackson met Margaret, however, before we even exited the vehicle Margaret’s hand flew to her mouth with amazement at Jackson. The first words emitted from her were, “Oh, he’s mine. I am keeping him.”
Today, Jackson found his furever home and momma. Today, Jackson is safe, warm, secure, and loved. Oh, and by the way, Jackson now has a beautiful lake home in the Bemidji MN area. God’s country!
Thank you Margaret for once again opening your heart and home to Jackson. Thank you for giving him the life and home that he truly deserves. As always, heart hugs.
