Arlo was welcomed into Almost Home Foster & Rescue as a breeder-release. He was, at the time that we received him, only 12 weeks old. No proof of vetting would be supplied. I was to meet a transporter at an undisclosed location, I know not from where he came, his history, vetting…nothing. But, all fur babies deserve a chance at a life outside of breeding. We were informed that the only reason he was being released was due to his underbite. Oh, and we were informed that he was a Bichon Frise’/Toy Poodle mix.
Arlo weighed a booming 4.2# at 15 weeks. That is when he completed his vaccinations, DHLPP, Bordetella, and received his rabies vaccine. Arlo already had a family and home waiting, and that wait felt like eternity to Roxanne.
Roxanne had been a pet sitter for many of her friends and family. She advocated for rescue adoptions; that was the only way to go in her mind. She had her heart set on a Bichon/Poodle mix, so she waited. Arlo was posted and before the end of the hour, we received an email and an application from Roxanne.
This past Friday, Arlo made his way home, home to his furever momma and a life of extreme spoiling, loving and adventures. Thank you Roxanne for opening your heart and home to Arlo. Thank you for giving him the life and home that he so richly deserves.
Arlo…you are golden!
