A Perfect Pairing – Brandi Adds Energy and Zip to Her Furever Home and Family

The saying “in like a lion, out like a lamb” refers to the weather in March, which can be unpredictable, starting with harsh, winter-like conditions and often transitioning to milder, spring-like weather by the end of the month. In Minnesota, however, our weather came in like a lamb, unseasonably warm with daytime temps in the 50’s, 60’s and even reaching the 70’s by mid-month. Our rescue adoptions, however, roared in like a lion and it appears that it will continue so throughout the month. Paws crossed for the furbabies.
Brandi is one of our roaring adoptions. Brandi came to us from the Wewoka Oklahoma area. Foster Momma Felicia Stilley was contacted and asked if she would take her. She was only 8 weeks old. All the other siblings of the litter had been “sold,” but not Brandi. We posted her up and coming arrival and had 4 applications for her…and she wasn’t even her yet. Our first application came from Brian and Cindy, already known as AHFK alumni family! Brandi hit the jackpot!
Brian and Cindy are well versed in the antics and personality of the Jack Russell Terrier. Prior to their first AHFK adoptee, they had Jack for over 16 years. A fiesty, much loved JRT that left them devastated upon passing. AHFK’s Jack, nka Buddy started mending the hole that was left in their hearts. And now, they wanted to open their hearts and home to another. Jack was ready for a sibling, needed a sibling, and Brandi needed a family. This was a perfect pairing.
Buddy, ready to establish dominance and territory, was slightly assertive, but Brandi, the feisty little female that she is, quickly had him on the run. They will do well together.
Thank you, Brian and Cindy, for once again opening your hearts and home to yet another little Okie JRT. Thank you for giving Brandi the home and family that she so richly deserves.
We are furever grateful for you!
