“Dianne, I am hoping you will help me out. I feel stupid for getting myself into this.
I took a 10-mo. old beagle mix from a gal that posted her on a fb page. I made a comment, and she messaged me that if she didn’t find a home by a certain date she was going to have her friend take her to the swap meet!!!! I freaked out!!!
I ended up telling her I would take her only so she would not do that to her.
I picked Dixie up on Tuesday and took her to the vet today. She gets spayed next Friday.
I hope you will help me find her a good home. She is only 21 lbs, super sweet, house trained, kennel trained, current on preventatives and vaccinations. I think the only thing she would need is a Bordetella if you want her to have it. Her DAPP and rabies are good until November.
I absolutely did not want another dog, and Dixie really needs a younger dog that will play with her.
Of course, she can stay here as long as she needs to, if you would be willing to find a good home for her. I think you know I will do anything I can to help and get her to a better situation than she came from.
I know better, but this stupid woman caught me off guard.”

And, like all good Fairy tales, Dixie’s meet and greet was fabulous. She has gained two human brothers, a stay-at-home mom, grandma, and grandpa and a human dad that was just as excited as any child could be at the thought of having this beautiful furbaby be a part of their family. Dixie will never be alone again. She will always be with family.
