PUPDATE FROM LARRY & PAT!
Dianne, thank you again for the opportunity to adopt these two sweethearts. Almost 4 weeks have passed now but they took no time at all settling right in and it’s already tough remembering a time when we didn’t have them. Still lots of Zoomies going on as well as plenty of wrestling. Quite the challenge walking all 3 at once but it’s getting easier every day.
Many thanks to Felicia and Barbara as well!!!
Once again, time has eluded me and I have fallen behind in posting the incredible adoptions that took place in June and the incredible families that made these adoptions a reality for three more furbabies.
Felicia Stilley, Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN’s Foster Momma extraordinaire, had the opportunity to save three more furbabies from euthanasia and man did she grab that chance. Felicia, together with the help of Barbara Pitts of Holdenville OK secured to Shih Tzu breeds, Charlie and Thomas, and a Toy Poodle Ali from death’s door. Let’s begin with Charlie and Thomas…
Charlie, a Red Shih Tzu/Miniature Schnauzer proved to be a gentle, quiet, “let me have your lap and you will give me your heart” kind of guy. At three years of age, this little charismatic boy already knew how to charm his way into one’s life, home and heart.
Thomas, a little blonde, energetic boy, played hard, loved hard, and played harder. Thomas was always looking for a friend and a playmate. Zoomies was his game and he played it well. He was a snuggler and one’s best friend when playtime ended.
We received inquiries and applications. We processed them all, however, the application that first arrived from Larry and Pat was one we kept going back to…They knew the breed, in fact, they had a Shih Tzu mix in home already. They had a securely, 6′ foot high fenced yard, a huge yard. They bordered the Superior National Forest. They were both newly retired, stay at home parents, and Larry was an avid walker. Adventures and activity awaited…the clincher, that which sealed the adoption deal…they wanted both Charlie and Thomas. It was a WIN/WIN for all.
Larry and Beth we are furever grateful that you opened your hearts and home to both Charlie and Thomas. Thank you!
Thomas made fast friends with his fur-sister, Ruby, one who also plays the Zoomie game. And, in addition, there is a doe that likes to play “run the fence line” with the two…many hours of fun for these fur-kids. Charlie, well he was busy finding out which lap he should secure. All in all, a phenomenal home and family for these two Okies.

btw, my wife’s name is Pat, not Beth. 😉
Sorry to Pat for erring on her name. I will get that changed immediately.
