Thomas, a Shih Tzu, came to rescue by way of Seminole County Animal Shelter in Wewoka OK. He, and his friend, Charlie, were surrendered to the shelter. Due to the high intake rate at the shelter, the animals are given a 3-day hold period, then euthanized, regardless of their breed, health, disposition. We were able to make room for, and secure these two.
Thomas is approximately 1.5 – 2 years of age. He weighs 15#. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies, is Heartworm Negative, is neutered and microchipped. Thomas is ready for his furever home and family.
Thomas does well with all other dogs, indifferent to cats, and loves to be cuddled by all humans, kids and adults.
Thomas is truly a lap dog and loves to cuddle with his human. He is the perfect size for those families that travel. Thomas would love to have a stay at home pet parent, and another fur-sibling would be the icing on the cake.

Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
