For whatever reason, we at Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN Lic. 132328, don’t ask and really don’t care, why breeders are releasing their “stock” to us. We know that we will find them the best possible home and family. But when little 3-month-old Finn, a Bichon Frise’ & Yorkshire Terrier was released to us, it caused our eyebrows to rise. “Really? Why?” We weren’t given a reason or an answer. And it really didn’t matter. We had him vaccinated, and because he is too young to neuter, we placed him in our Foster to Adopt Program.
Finn’s Petfinder photo and bio caught the eye of Dane and Jaclyn’s daughter. Since a small child, she has watched the PBS rescue shows and knew that one day, when the family was ready, they would be adopting a rescue dog…Finn hit all her checklist boxes, as well as the family’s needs. Last weekend Finn made his way North to the family of Dane and Jaclyn. And needless to say,…Finn knew that he was home.
Finn celebrated his first Thanksgiving with his family and extended family. He did an amazing job with all the new faces and family. Finn is doing an amazing job on his potty training, and he has three human siblings, in addition to his human mom and dad to help him with his new routine and schedule.
Dane and Jaclyn, we are furever grateful that you have opened your hearts and home to this little guy. Thank you for giving him the phenomenal home and family that he deserves.
