And, speaking of repeat adopters…Donavan and Julia who adopted Libby last year, contacted Almost Home Foster & Rescue looking for another furbaby to add to their family. Libby had been released to AHFK by an area breeder. Initially, Libby favored women over men and she had some trust issues. These were all traits that were expected early on. As time went on though, she became a poppa’s girl and momma Julia was left with an empty lap. It was time to add another.
Teddy, one of the 16 ChiWeenie pups that we assisted a local family with, was vetted, neutered, microchipped and ready to begin the next journey in his life. At 7 months of age, this little guy still had his puppy energy and his quest for adventure. With a lot of wiggling and a “let me have at it,” attitude, he is sure to keep his AHFK Alumni sister Libby, and his mom and dad on their toes.
Teddy was quick to feel “at home” and was comfortable with Donavan and Julia, and was ready to be that annoying little brother to his big sister Libby. Libby knew that her work was cut out for her. I am sure she rolled her eyes a couple of times while I was there.
Donavan and Julie, once again thank you for opening your hearts and home to Teddy. Thank you for giving him the family and life that he deserves. Heart Hugs always.
