Discarded by Her Owners, Little Girl Finds Her Furever Home and Family with her Foster

The plea went out for KY Little Girl.  She was surrendered to a small, rural animal shelter in Albany KY.  She was just a year old.  Her owners claimed that they could no longer afford her daily needs – she wasn’t sick.  She didn’t have a medically condition.  She didn’t require anything of great monetary value…just regular vetting, food and water.  Makes one wonder how you came across owning her in the first place.

Hilda Orons and Bethany Watts networked, shared, tagged and advocated for a rescue to step and pull this little girl.  At a whopping 17#, Little Girl just fit.  Almost Home Foster & Rescue had 5 scheduled adoptions, making room for Little Girl to join our pack.  Bethany offered to foster, Michelle Zdybicki and Hilda Orons were setting up transport, and AHFK was anticipating this little girl’s arrival.

Then the text came, “So, I don’t usually ask this, I do have a great foster track record, Lucy Lou, fka, Little Girl, is Number 10 for the year.  But….if we were to foster to adopt, would that be possible at all?  My husband fell in love with her and well….”

“My husband says that there is something about her.  She snuggled up under the blankets with him all night.

Yep, our second foster fail in two months.  Lucy Lou is in the process of finalizing her vetting and she will be spayed mid-October.  Paperwork can be finalized then.

Thank you, Bethany and John Watts, for all the incredible rescue work that you do.  Thank you for opening your hearts and home to this little one, for giving her the family that she truly needs and deserves.   ❤Still waiting on the family photo!
