Luna came to Almost Home Foster & Rescue from Oklahoma. Luna, along with Luke, a small, long-haired Chihuahua, were both surrendered to Foster Momma Felicia when the family could no longer care for them. Luke was adopted immediately. Initially Luna went to her furever home, however, it was discovered that her furever poppa was severely allergic to her, she came back to rescue. Her second attempt also resulted in her being returned after so protected herself from a large Cockatiel. The altercation between the two resulted in a few missing feathers, but Luna was worse for the wear.
Luna is a little hellion when it comes to cats. It’s not that she hates them, but when they run from her, the Great Chase is on…and she is relentless in her chase. We needed to find a home that was catless.
Curt and Diane have a special place in their heart for the Chihuahua breed. Oakley, their resident pupper, also a rescue and came by way of Oklahoma, looked like Luna’s twin. Too many similarities and stories. Luna and Oakley bonded immediately. Curt and Diane have two rescue cats also. Although dominant in self-preservation, Luna has tested their patience. Curt and Diane are willing to work with Luna and want to make this work; they want Luna to be part of their family.
We are furever grateful to Curt and Diane for giving Luna this chance, a chance to have her very own furever home and family. Thank you for opening your hearts and home to her.
