Ms Dottie Mae of Mississippi made her way to Almost Home Foster MN License #132328, along with her 2-year old son, Snoopy mid-March. Their human dad, no longer able to care for himself or his furbabies, entered hospice care. But, before he would leave his home, he asked Priscilla Lovelace, long-time AHFK foster mom if she could help him find a furever home or rescue for his furbabies. Priscilla contacted us. We are slammed. We are full, but then again, who isn’t. Priscilla offered to foster until we could bring them to Minnesota.
Ms. Dottie Mae and Snoopy arrived on March 17th. They completed their vetting; vaccinations, they were spayed/neutered, and they were microchipped. Once recovered, they were ready for their new homes and family.
Dottie made her way North this morning to her furever home and family. Nestled off the beaten path, her home sports a large, securely fenced yard and two fur-brothers to help “learn her a new routine,” although Dottie was “learning” those two some greeting manners early on. Dottie has a retired dad who will be home to help her acclimate to her new surroundings and routine.
We already received a PUPDATE: Dottie is settling in nicely. Took a long walk around the neighborhood, watched a little TV with dad and explored her new backyard with her brother.
Thank you Randy and Pamela for opening your hearts and home to this little girl. Thank you for giving her the family and life she deserves. We are furever grateful.
